Tattoo's- My view's

Now, I know this is a dangerous subject to talk about because people have such strong views on tattoo's, but why not live life on the edge.

Recently, it have been all over the news about Cheryl Cole's new tattoo on her back, if you haven't seen it, where have you been? It's been everywhere. There's been a awful lot of hate towards it, which is too be expected as tattoo's always have mixed opinions.

My views on the tattoo is that its too big. The design is really nice, it would make a lovely mass produced canvas painting to be sold in home bargain's. Its just too big for her. But that's down to personal preference I guess. The only thing about that tattoo that I don't like is her reason behind it... Or lack of. Shes got a massive tattoo for no reason other than she liked it. I liked furbys when I was little, now I can't stand the things. She liked that tattoo that she had done before the rose, which she decided she no longer likes and covered it up. Id like to see the result in a couple of years when she gets fed up of this one and tries to cover it up again.

I've got a couple of tattoo's, one of which is pretty damn big. But, and this is a big but, I got them both because they mean something to me, and thats what I think tattoo's should be used for. Infact, thats what they were used for before they became a fashion item.

People these days are getting tattoo's left right and centre and its turning into a sort of competion to see who can get the strangest, stupidly place, biggest or just most tattoo's. It's people who do this that make people think badly of tattoo's.

I know there's people out there who think tattoo's are ugly and ruin your body. In my oppinion if used in the correct way they are a form of art, that tells a story of different times and /or people in your life that you want to remember and treasure forever.

Everyone is intitled to their oppinions and this is just mine. I am proud to have tattoo's and I love my tattoo's, every time I look at them I remember what they are designed to remind me of. I just wish that people would see them from my point of view instead of judging me and thinking I just got them in an attempt to look cool.
